I loved Mai-HiME. ^^ The ending could've been better though. It felt kinda rushed, but overall it's a great anime. ^^ Defenitly in my top 5.

f

I loved the first season of Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch. The ending made me cry. It was so sad. T.T But I hated the second season. It was just boring.

Btw, I totally agree with you concerning the singing-voice of Karen. It's soooooo horrible.

f

I agree with your review. But why wasn't Yoko Ishida mentioned? She sang the ending themes incredibly well. Her powerful singing was the best thing about this anime(yes, I enjoyed the ending the most). ^^; But other then that I agree with your review. The first episodes kept me watching the entire season, waiting for it to pop. I got disappointed, especially at the end.

f

Nice review. ^^ Even though I don't agree with everything. Like the art. It's splendid in the manga, but it's just horribly ugly in the anime. The first scene made two of my friends turn the video off(you know, when he comes walking down the street). One of them said he wouldn't even give the tv-show a shot because of the movie's art. :/ I, myself, continued watching it all through, but it was while shivering from disgust and thinking "Omg... Even I can draw better than this." But sure, I guess some people find it charming... ^^; Also, the 3D annoyed me, cause it didn't mix well with the animation.

f

Nice review. ^^ And I agree, Nanoha is great. The only thing I feel should be brought up(which wasn't) was the bad english of Raging Heart. Sometimes the things it said didn't make any sence. It was cute though. ^^;

Quote by PisaroI'm not sure... Because i haven't watch mai-otome.. Now still downloading... But Mai-HIME is really great.. when i first start watch the trailer, i already start falling love with this anime. I hope Mai-Otome won't make me dissappointed. But i heard that Mai-Otome did not have child. Maybe this reason make mai-otome not so good compare to mai-HIME. Do you know that mai-HIME is going to release the movie this autumn. Haha..great news for those mai-HIME fans. You can come to my userpage and view the trailer for mai-HIME the movie "The Great Battle of Fuuka".
Enjoy the movie

That trailer is a fake. There's not gonna be a movie. It was a joke from Sunrise.

I love Mai-HiME and you wrote a good review. But one thing took me as odd. Why would people dislike Otome if they liked HiME? That makes no sence at all. However, the two series are diffrent in targeting audience. Mai-HiME was more of a unisex series which leaned on both male and female elements. Mai-Otome leans more on female elements, but still keeps some of the male. So it ought to say "If you only like shounen, you'll dislike Mai-Otome because it has Mahou Shoujo as a big key-element" or something like that. But just because someone like one of the series doesn't mean they'll dislike the other. It's all about what kind of theme's you like. I know more people who love Mai-Otome(and HiME) then people who love Mai-HiME and hate Otome. I only know one who doesn't like it, and he's a stict Shounen-type of guy. Oh, and I was kinda bummed you didn't mention the splendid Soundtrack. But other then that you wrote a good review. ^^

I think people should stop comparing it to Mai-HiME alittle more. Mai-HiME was great in one way, Mai-Otome is great in another. They kind of turn to different audience. Mai-HiME was originally(the manga) created for the male gender. The anime had alot of female theme's though and made it a unisex show. Mai-Otome on the other hand has more female theme's. I do agree that Mai-Otome isn't as exciting and mysterious as Mai-HiME, but it's still worth at least a 7. I mean, the show has barely started, and Mai-HiME was kinda slow till episode 8 too. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Mai-Otome get's eerier as the season enter it's middle. ^^ And I compleatly disagree on the 6 you gave the music. It's an easy 9-10. Just as in Mai-HiME it's great and really fit for the different scenes. Thanks, bye. ^^

f

Nice review.. But a overall 7? O.o; If I'd make it it would be at least 8 or 9. I don't really like how you compare the anime art with the manga art considering it's impossible to be as detailed in an animated series as in a manga.

f

Changin' My Life IS the group that Myco sings in... ^^; And yes, The*Scanty made the opening songs, but other than those all the songs where sung by Myco and her group Changin' My Life.

Nice review, but I have to disagree on one thing. How can you not like the voice acting? It's so good it gave chills sometimes(like all last episode).

f

Nice review.. But why do you recomend it to ages 13-20? It's more like 15-99. :P It has to scary elements for a 13-year old to understand completely, ex. the rape. And why stop watching it at 20? Can't find a reason. ^^;

f

This is one of the worst anime I've ever watched. Rape and silly violence. And the ending weren't even an ending, not one that I'd accept anyways. Good review though. But I do have to say that I think that the Overall Rating 5.6 was way too high. 2 at max. But that's only my opinion. ^^

f

Sorry to say, but really bad review. But I guess that's cause you didn't like the anime. Sailor Moon is famous for it's great music, uniqe and gripping story and it's deep character development. Too bad you can't see that. :/

f

I never found anything good in this anime.. I forced myself watching 6 episodes, after that I couldn't bare it so I deleted the whole series. ^^; It's just so boring and depressing all the time, and I loathed the characters. But I guess some people love it, but to give it 10/10 on everything? That's a little over the top. Nice review anyways. ^^

f

I agree with you on most aspects. But on the music? How can you not remember it? :P I think that's the best with the show. It's really original(well not anymore.. Tsubasa Chronicle has the same musician working, and it's scary how much that OST reminds me of the Mai-HiME ost). :/ And why would people watching Naruto like this? Naruto-viewers should stick to similar shows like Dragonball.. Mai-HiME is hundreds of million times better than Naruto. And it's not the same type of show either. Mai-HiME is a neutral, allmost shoujo-type of series. Naruto is pure Shounen.. to suggest Mai-HiME to someone who loves Naruto is like suggesting Cardcaptor Sakura to Pokémon-fans. :P Oh well, good review. ^^; Sorry for my rambling, lol.

f

I agree with you on most points. But the sound should get a 10/10 because the opening is great, the OST is wonderful and the Seiyuu's are the best one can wish for! ^^ Good Review.

Quote by SilverMoonPrincessI like the anime but only to a certain degree. The manga is much much
better. I think they just wanted to make the anime longer than the
manga so they dragged it out to last a full 200 episode by adding
unnessicary things. The should have stuck more with the story of the
manga without so many pointless filler episodes. The Fifth season was
done nicely. There wasn't as many of the poorly drawn episodes and
almost every episode actually had something to do with the main plot,
whether it was showing Usagi and Seiya's relationship grow or unvieling
more of Sailor Galaxia and plans she had. Its a shame it still hasn't
aired in the US.

No, they were forced to make filler episodes so the manga could keep up with the anime. And I like the filler episodes cause they are often really funny. XD It's GOOD that Sailor Stars hasn't been aired in the us... God only knows how they would do to Sailor Starlights. X.x;

Good review, except on the Music. I think the music is the best about the series and it deserves a 10. ^~
